The BBC mistakes a cabbie for an expert! Check out that accent!
The Worst Weatherman Ever. And two like totally valleygirl newscasters like duh.
A Sports Reporter stutters and sighs a lot. If you've ever spoken in public, you'll feel empathy for the poor guy.
Watch closely.... You might just miss what's wrong here!

Oh, and this YTMND made me giggle quite a bit Cosby Bebop, suprisingly lacking any Jello references.

[Stuff I'm listening to |Pure Pwnage - Get Outta Myspace]

Plasma Pong is a lot of fun. It never ceases to amaze me how many times Pong can be redone with different elements. This time the wheel has been reinvented to simulate liquid motion. I challange you all to beat my score of 21 (on the third try).

The URULive Site still redirects me to Mystworlds, I hear it's still down anyways. What would be nice is to see Cyanworlds' Website updated, since it still has a "Coming Soon Mystery Image" for the section on Myst V, which came out at least five months ago.

Someone should figure out a way to combine World Wind Stellarium and Celestia, all of which are neat open-source applications that allow you to explore our world and worlds beyond.

[Stuff I'm listening to |Annbjørg Lien - Loki]

This is the last time I'm going to mention my new feedburner feed. This shiny button is something you should click if you're still reading my feed from LiveJournal.

Feedburner is going to make the transition over to Wordpress so easy, especially when I talk to amon-re and have him have mystblogs.com point over to it. These statistics are uber shiny too.

Now all I have to do is.

1) Addres issues with people reading me via friend-lists.
2) Make (read as: "Modify an Existing") layout that won't make me want to soder my eyes shut.
3) Actually start posting on my wordpress blog.
4) Profit.

Nothing really happened to me all day today, I just sat around and played Tremulous and a little World of Warcraft. Was one of those crazy hazy lazy days that you hear immortalized in terribly annoying oldies songs

However, I did find and play around with and listen to this keen little thing that was mentioned on amon-re's blog. It shows not only the evolution of electronic music throughout the ages, but also how each genre relates to one another. The best part of all of this though, is the music samples.

Oh, and take a listen to "Get out of Myspace" on Pure Pwnage.

[Stuff I'm listening to |Väsen - Nitti Pomfritti]

Whirled is an absolutely wonderful CD. Completely worth the $15 for this song (which, once translated is called 90 French Fries o.o) and Bambodansarna.

So, tonight [info]fire_phantom and I scored a win for all of geek-kind.

A delicious way to stay awake for those long nights of coding.

Caffine that jiggles when it slides down your throat.

Yes ladies and gentlemen we made Jello with Vault.

Instructions:

  1. Stir 1 cup boiling water^Vault in medium bowl at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved.

  2. Stir in 1 cup cold water^Vault.

  3. REFRIGERATE 4 hours or until firm, makes 4 (1/2 cup) servings.

And it was good. No word yet on whether or not I'm going to try it with Coca-Cola BlaK.

Yesterday I talked a bit about Freeware FPSes... well, if you want more of where that came from, I present you with an unordered list.

I haven't actually played any of these... Maybe I should before I just start passing out links.... nah! ^_^

[How I'm doing | hyper]

I am Coca-Cola's bitch.

I drank about three of these in the span of five hours (after being intrigued by the product after it was mentioned on ZeFrank's The Show). Sure, coffee mixed with Coca-Cola might sound disgusting to the average layperson, but to me, it is divine water squeezed from the Coca-Cola/Coffee trees of heaven. In addition, I had one Vault, also made by Coca-Cola. I concieved this post while still fighting off the jitters from both.

I've seen him, the human equivelant of an albino dodo-bird. What us World of Warcraft players call EPIC. Yes, that's right people, I saw a Liberal Christian. Such things that have been only whispers in shady corners for generations has revealed itself to me. His name is Jack Nelson-Pallmeyer, and I had to watch him give a speech called "Is Religion Killing Us?". No word yet on the hotly awaited sequels. "Someone Help! Religion Is Killing Us!" and "Religon Killed Us, Way To Go Dickheads..."

When he got on stage I thought of calling the San Diego Zoo, such rare EPIC things should be seen by all people. But I was content to let him wander the world free. A natural wonder in his own right.

Sincere apologies to anyone reading on Myst Blogs as breaking the page seems to be a habit of mine. Special apologies to Magi, whoose name was obscured for a good two hours by the letters E, E and E.

Anyone remember Tribes? That revolutionary FPS that was way before its time? Yeah, it's free now, in fact it's been free for two years. And there's a portable version, to stick on your USB drive. Take one of the best games of the good ole' days with you for FREE on your USB drive!

So, apparently our military did some weird stuff back in the Cold War era.

Oh, and the Entertainment Software Rating Board... little message for you, you can't change the rating on the box for something that isn't in the box!. Modders have been making nudy skins for years. Why do you choose now to change the rating for a player-created content? Jedi Academy had blood mods, naked skins and a whole mess of unsavory things on mod websites, yet the ESRB did nothing to the rating of that game. Don't take action on Bethseda and their products for something that they aren't responsible for.

Oh, and this looks a bit interesting, a mashup between Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. I'm downloading it at the moment so I can't say anything about it, but it piqued my interest!

[Stuff I'm listening to |system of a down - snowblind]

Well, TW introducted me to this website which is a Wiki for all those D.I.Y.ers out there. It's like a more expansive version of Wikibook's How-To Section. This E-how contains such useful information as How to survive a freestyle rap battle and How to Adopt a Baby from China. As well as stuff that's just pure geekery with How to read 12-digit barcodes, How to make a webcam into an infa-red camera and How to fix a stuck pixel on an LCD monitor.

Paper Hearts

A simple man tries to hide what makes him special. Violence warning.

The special effects are way better than anything that showed up in The Hulk

This was actually made in 48 hours, from script to the final touches in editing.

[Stuff I'm listening to |The Protomen - Will of One]

This is one for those Nintendo fans out there who read this blog... Both of you.

Protomen, the Megaman Rock Opera, don't let the strangeness of the concept alienate you, the music is actually quite good.

Speaking of good, I'm re-watching my Season 1 DVD's of Samurai Jack. I'd forgotten how amazing this show it. The artwork is aesthetically pleasing, the music is absolutely great. The plot is simple and easy to follow, as most kid's shows go. But it all melds together to form one really fun and carefree show to watch and unwind to. I need to travel to Best Buy and pick up the Season II DVD sometime.

I should really post this since it's just something good that you need to see. This lightsaber fight is far more intense and able to hold my interest than anything that's been in the prequel trilogy.

Forget this or this.

I'm building this.

For those of you who are web design enthusiasts like me. Take a lookskie at this (thanks Tweek). Neat, huh? Maybe not the most useable thing in the world, but there's a shinyness factor that I enjoy about it.

I thought of [info]heinrick when I saw this clever little thing today.

EDIT -- About the above link.

Dang, last time I checked there was only the one OB contest on Bleach Eating Freaks, now they're up to three?!

The Office Bricolage is a contest to see who can design the best weapon out of common office materials. The results are suprisingly deadly in some cases. This might be of interest (and possible self defensive use) to many people I know in RL... so I refuse to show them it and giggle in my own knowledge. Because, if kids in my school knew how to make some of this stuff... I would live in fear.

So, a few years ago, for my Father's birthday, Mum restored a fiddle for him which belonged to his great-great-somethingorother. This thing is absolutely beautiful, but it's sat on the shelves unused for years. Mother restored it in hopes that Father would pick it up and learn how to play it. No such thing happened. Yesterday, whilst listening to Harv, I thought, "Dang, it would be cool to learn how to play that thing on the shelf downstairs". So I talked to Mum about signing me up for lessons. Not sure if anything will come from it. I tried learning piano when I was young and nothing came of that. We'll see.

Spring Break from highschool this week. All kinds of free time to be had! Probably won't do anything constructive with!

[How I'm doing |tired]
[Stuff I'm listening to |Marxist Mannequins - Ripped Jeans Galore]

It seems I've been talking a lot about music lately.

Wait... before I go on, I want to say something.

I love small-name local bands. I take every chance I can to support them both through monetary donations (tickets, CDs, stuff like that) and through vocal and physical support (screaming and moshing).

So now I'd like to point out my friend's band Marxist Mannequins and also take the opportunity to tell [info]orangesuicide to release some new tracks lest I go crazy.

In other news this is a somewhat violent, but awesome flash animation.

And on a related note, [info]fire_phantom I want you to study this I'm going to quiz you on Friday... You think I'm kidding, don't you? Well guess what I'm not!

I haven't been getting as many comments here as of late, what am I, boring you people? Am I chopped liver to you?

If I was chopped liver, what spices would you put on me? Would you like me diced? Do you enjoy me roasted? Perhaps deep fat fried?

And if anyone needs invites to Until URU from me and you haven't been able to get them from someone else for some... strange... reason, go ahead and comment, or throw me an E-mail/instant message/mail/carrier pigeon/town crier and I'll see what I can do. (This is me trying to be grassroots, folks.)

To be 100% truthful I've only gotten on D'mala once, and that was just a brief affair to grab my Nexus book. I feel strongly compelled to go there for an extended visit if I know that a few of my friends will be on, Maybe Tweek or Kehra or Zad wants to schedule a time for us to hang out? Anyone at all?

I guess what's kept me away from D'mala is me not feeling terribly excited to do the same things that I did in URU Live/To D'ni/Until URU all over again. I'll definately be the first one on the server when/if Cyanworlds puts some new content on there, but for the moment I'm not all that enthused.

Which isn't to say I'm entirely bored by the idea. I like the thought of having the DRC to talk to again, I never had the chance to say anything to them in the previous incarnations of URU, I'd like to sit down and have a wee chat with one of them if I can find one on. This whole "In-Character" thing sounds very exciting, hopefully it's better than some of the stuff I see on the WoW server I'm on. Or my terrible terrible experiences with the Jedi Academy Roleplaying server... Jedi/Vampyre war... *shudder*

I'm about 5/6th of the way through Starship Troopers by Robert A. Heinlan. Yes, the same book I was reading four months ago. Yes the book that's in paperback and only 200 pages long. I've been busy.

After I'm finished with Starship Troopers I've got a book of short stories by Harlan Ellison (see this entry) stashed in my bag that I want to tear through. It's called Approaching Oblivion. A little something I picked up from one of my ventures to Half Price

I need to get moved out to Wordpress here sometime soon. This will be a major blow to those of you who have me on their friendlists. Now you'll have to go all the way over to Mystblogs or, Heaven forbid, the actual URL of the blog itself to read what I have to say.

Chucker's post on Public Reaction to Myst V is nothing short of beautiful and one fine peice of accurate reporting. That, [info]fire_phantom is what MYST is all about, since you asked.

I'm rather angry at myself, Harv was in Minneapolis last month and I missed it. I didn't even see the tours section of noside.com until last week.

It's really good to see Edrick blogging again, as well as seeing that [info]theonlyaaron is still up and kicking.

EDIT
I will, for a third time, direct you to Massive Attack's COLLECTED site. Why? Because the minisite for Live With Me went live yesterday, take a listen to Live With Me and False Flags, both of which cause severe eargasm upon contact! Squeeeeee! ^_^

Seriously, how sweet is This? Though I don't sere the purpose of having an infared map, the elevation and visible is really sweet.

And labelled landmarks, I'm pleasantly suprised!

And this heightmap is sorta putting me in a Terragenny-mood!

And apparently they're going to make this work with Google Earth, which makes me very happy.
